Napo Wildlife Center is one of the most beautiful alternatives in the Ecuadorian Rainforest. This ecolodge is a real ecotourism project that was created in a closed partnership by the initiative of Añangu Quichua local community with the support of the Tropical Nature Conservation, nowadays is managed by the people of the community. This project includes the conservation of approximately over 52,000 acres (over 21,400 hectares) of the most pristine Amazonian Rainforest within the Yasunì National Park, an important biosphere reserve.
NWC is located in the northern Ecuadorian Amazon region (250 Mts., 820 ft over the sea level), at 82 kilometers (51 miles) of Coca, one of the most important cities of Oriente or Amazon.
This lodge has 11 cottages that keep the traditional native architecture using long lasting materials to avoid deforestation. It offers a library, a bar that provides ice-cold drinks, a restaurant with meals carefully prepared. A reverse osmosis water filtration system is used in the kitchen.
