Day 1. La Paz – Rurrenabaque – TES
In the morning we're going to pick up you from the hotel in La Paz for taking you to Alto's airport. The flight from La Paz to Rurrenabaque last 40 minutes: during this trip you will be able to appreciate The Andes.
Chalalan's staff will come for you to the airport for moving you to an office in Chalalan where you will register and then to your hotel located in the same amazon town in Rurrenabaque.
At 2:30 a TES guide will take you to visit the Nuevo Horizontes community located to 40 minutes from the city.
At Nuevo Horizonte's handicrafts association will teach you the whole process on Jipi Japa's handicraft. Also will be the opportunity to get close with the Bolivian Amazonia reality: a reunion between Colonos and Indigenous.
After having a wonderful day we are going to back to the Hotel for having dinner with the TES guide. Stayovernight at Rurrenabasque's hotel with rooms and private bathrooms.
Day 2. Rurrenabaque – Chalalán
After your breakfast your guide will pick up from your hotel for going with you to Beni River where you will take the boat to Chalalan.
A trip by boat it's an opportunity to appreciate the "Cañon del Bala"on Beni river and then to go deep into Madidi's park by Tiuchi River the spectacular fauna landscape from Bolivan Amazon. The trip by boat takes around five hours in a rainy season.
After the welcome lunch at the shelter's dinning room, we will do a short trekking by Paraba path's, where the guide will explain you about useful wood construction plants, palms and the traditional and sustainable use of natural resources.
After dinner, a short activity (1 to 2am) a night ride by canoe for observing different kind of nocturnal animals as bats, amphibious, nocturnal birds and Caymans easily divisible by their shiny eyes.
Note 1: During a dry season, mainly July, August and September, the trip takes around 6 hours. Note 2: Our boast has roof, comfortable sits, life jacket, water ponchos, and a medicine cabinet.
Note 2: Our boats are provided of comfortable ceiling, armchairs, life jackets, and medicine kit of first aid (Box lunch at halfway).
Day 3. Chalalán
During the morning we'll walk for Tapacare path and other with a similar distance (3 to 4 trekking) where you can observe and learn about thick wood and Sylvester life.
Optional topics: natural interpretation of the wood, sharing from animals, observing animals and specially mammalian.
We'll eat lunch at shelter's living room. After lunch you can take a rest in the hammocks or swim into Chalalan's lagoon.
In the afternoon you will take a short trek by the systematic paths where you can learn about medicinal plants and to deepen in topics that you care the most. Return journey to the shelter by boat.
At night a traditionally "dunucuabi" dinner (a river fish wrap into a typical heliconian leave). Short nocturnal trekking bye Paraba o Silbador path. Return to the shelter you can be part of a Quechua – Tacana night with music and local dances from San Jose de Uchupiamonas community. In this activity the guide explains you the Uchupiamonas culture and their rites.
Note 3: Cultural night can be transfer to day 2, depending on the influence of visitors in the Ecolodge.
Day 4. Chalalán – Rurrenabaque – La Paz
Buffet breakfast at shelters dining room and then a short trek to Chalalan's port to take the retouring boat. The trekking return can be by Jaguar o Wichi path, this can be discussing according to visitants interests. Retour journey by boat to Rurrenabaque takes only three hours. Retourning trip will be according to our visitant's itinerary. During the trip we recommend you to keep attentive to observe all the fauna from Bolivan Amazon. Placed in Rurrenabaque you will be transfer to the airport. In El Alto's airport, a driver will wait for you to take to your hotel in La Paz.
